Our campsite. It was THE LAST one available. We barely
claimed this one too! If we would have been 10 min slower,
we wouldn't have gotten it!
Trying to keep Brynn busy. She is the hardest part of camping :)
BB guns and slingshots!
They are shooting at soda cans
We were parked by a long hill. The kids had fun
riding scooters down, until the camp hosts told us it wasn't allowed :(
Even John jumped on a scooter
While we were up AF canyon, we wanted to check out what's around that area. We went to Cascade Springs. It's a little nature area that you can walk on a boardwalk all around (maybe 1 mile total?) and see that natural spring. It was a fun little "hike" for the kids.
"Let's go this way!"
There were lots of interesting plaques to read about the area
Our not so little monkey
We invited John's parents to come up and visit. They brought up their little aluminum boat so we could go fishing on the lakes nearby. One lake, Silver Lake, was up a very bumpy dirt road a few miles, but it was a BEAUTIFUL view!
When we got to the lake, it started raining... It actually rained most of our trip (thank goodness for our trailer!!) We waited out the rainstorm and then got out to explore and fish.
Jacob ran back to beg us to get the boat out on the lake!
Waiting out the rain in the truck
I just love the clouds on the mountain!
Off they go!
Sadly, nobody caught any fish. They sure
had fun paddling in circles though!
The day we headed home, we stopped at Tibble Fork and got the boat out once more. Jacob caught 3 fish! Johnathan caught two.
