Summer Parades

This last summer, we watched the Art City parade and the Mapleton 24th of July parade.

Johnathan was on duty in Springville the day of the
parade, so he got to drive the fire truck!

After we moved to Mapleton, we found out that the city has a huge Pioneer Day celebration!  They have a parade in the morning, carnival-ish activities for kids at the park, and also breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the park, plus they have a big concert in the evening, skydivers (not sure how that relates to pioneer day, but it was fun to watch!), and HUGE fireworks!!  It was a lot of fun!

Most of the parade is primary kids from each ward dressed up in a theme.  Our kids were so excited to be in the parade!  They all chose to ride on the "float" instead of ride their bikes.

I just loved this face Brynn made after trying the popcicle :)

For dinner on the 24th, we did The Fate Burger.  Our kids LOVE it!  We roll dice to see what toppings to put on our hamburger.  Some choices were pickles, avacado, pineapple, cheese, bacon, tomato, etc.  Look how big Ashlyn's burger is!
