2nd Grade Field Trip

I volunteered to go on a field trip with Ashlyn's class a few weeks ago.  It was pretty fun.  It was also LOUD.  I rode on the bus with her class. (Not sure if I'll do that again... I had a serious headache when I got home.)  We went to a "farm".  It wasn't actually a farm, more like a horse arena, but they told the kids it was a farm because they learned all about farms & agriculture.  Overall, I liked the field trip.  It's really weird to be living in the city and going on a field trip to a "farm" in order to teach the kids about farm life.  I grew up in a little town in the country and Johnathan grew up on a dairy farm.  It makes me laugh to think about either of us in Elementary School going on a field trip to a "farm".  In Johnathan's case, I think about all the kids his age that were all helping out on the farm and them being "taught" where milk actually comes from.  I think the kids would have been bored and could have even driven the tractor around!  It makes me laugh and realize how far we've come in society...  Anyways, it was fun and I did learn a couple things :)

 Bus Ride
 Watching a sheep get sheared
Learning what pigs are used for.
This brought back memories from
my pig herding job...
 Awww!  Cute baby pig :)
The kids were hoping for a horse ride
 Learning about bees
The crazies I spent the day with!
