Camping Trip

We just got back from a 4 night camping trip! It was a lot of fun. Johnathan had a 4 day weekend with the 4th, so we packed up and headed out after work on thursday. We had never been up to Payson Lakes, so we decided to try it out. It was so pretty up there! The campgrounds were too close together for my liking. I like to get away from the city and enjoy the sounds of nature and not the sounds of other people. It didn't help that one of our neighbors decided to put up their tent in our campground... Like 10 feet from our tent... We would go to sleep to the sounds of their kids being noisy, and wake up in the night to the sounds of their dad snoring. That was the one bad thing about our trip. Well, maybe the bugs too. There were tons that seemed to be immune from bug spray.

Overall it was a lot of fun. We relaxed, read books, went fishing (okay, everyone else went fishing and I read my book while they fished), swam in the lake, and just had fun together! We splurged and bought a 3 burner Camp Chef stove and another dutch oven. I think I might have to plan more dutch oven meals just so Johnathan will cook! We LOVE dutch oven food and are super excited about our new toy!

I should have taken a picture of our van all loaded down. We seriously had that thing packed to the roof! It is so much work to go camping, but we can hardly wait till our next camping trip!
